Nagoya Moon - latest single out April 2nd

The Laszlo Project - ‘Nagoya Moon’

Pre-order: 19th March 2021

General release: 2nd April 2021

‘Total musical genius’
- Nick Luscombe, BBC Radio 3

New single is a jazzy, moonlit dreamscape from London producer/composer

Hot on the heels of THE LASZLO PROJECT’S last single - KYOTO RAIN - which landed on two Spotify editorial playlists on its release weekend as well as garnering support from JAMIE CULLUM at BBC Radio 2’s The Jazz Show, comes the up-tempo instrumental NAGOYA MOON; a brassy, beat-driven composition that marries dreamy piano riffs with colourful, floating flute solos and an organic palette of jazz instrumentation.

The mysterious reverie opens with a contemporary breakbeat from Lydian Collective’s SOPHIE ALLOWAY on drums, joined by quickly by piano and a brass section that once again sees the talents of SIMON JOYNER (trumpet) and MICHAEL UNDERWOOD (saxophone) come to the fore, this time accompanied by Capital Orchestra’s SAM GALE (trombone).

As momentum and excitement builds, flute (Michael Underwood) and vocals (PHOEBE WRIGHT-SPINKS) join the melodic voyage, which crescendos with jazzy revelry under the moonlight.

In the wake of success with Aaron’s band Lydian Collective, The Laszlo Project rebooted in 2020 after a 5 year hiatus with the ‘Press Start’ EP. With more than 1.8 million Spotify streams already, The Laszlo Project’s music can be found on playlists across a diverse range of genres from jazz fusion to world, electro and chill-step. The forthcoming EP, of which KYOTO RAIN and NAGOYA MOON are the debut singles, continues a decades-long experimentation in sound from a composer who never fails to delight and beguile.

NAGOYA MOON will be available to buy/stream from 2nd April, and pre-order on Bandcamp from 19th March via https://laszloproject.fanlink.to/nagoyamoon
